Currently, OpenSwarm supports the following platforms:

e-puck

The e-puck robot is an miniature mobile robot developed as an open tool at university level. Originally designed at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, it is uses a Microchip dsPIC30F6014A and provides a set of features:

  • 2x stepper motors
  • 8 proximity sensors (infra-red)
  • CMOS camera
  • accelerometer (+ gyroscope)
  • 3x microphones
  • speaker
  • Bluetooth

 

 

Kilobots

Our team is currently deploying OpenSwarm on the Kilobot.

The Kilobot robot is an miniature mobile robot developed as an open hardware tool at SSR Lab  at Harvard University. It is uses a Atmel ATMega328 and provides a set of features:

  • 2x vibration motors
  • infra-red transceiver
  • 3-colour LED
  • light ambient sensor
